In this section you can find out about OVO’s Autumn 2018 season, and the forthcoming casting process.

We’re delighted that David Bevan will be directing his second show for OVO. Anyone who saw his production of Ghost Sonata will remember its visually and aurally arresting style and powerful performances. This time he’s taking on The Changeling, which will be OVO’s first foray into Jacobean drama. Fusing violence with dark humour and sex, it’s a real crowd-pleaser! And there are some fantastic roles for actors of all ages, shapes and sizes.

Before that, OVO’s Artistic Director Adam Nichols will be directing Macbeth. The play needs no introduction – it is, quite simply, one of the greatest plays ever written. It will be the third time Adam has directed Macbeth for OVO and this time he will be stripping the play back to its bare essentials, focusing on language and movement, with a truly in the round staging. This production will also experiment with a new model of daytime rehearsals over a compressed two week period.

You can read a detailed brief on both productions by following the links below. Please let the Directors know if you’re interested as soon as possible, and in any event by 23rd March 2018, using the link provided in the detailed casting briefs.

We hope you will be as excited as we are about the Autumn 2018 season, and we look forward to working with you on these two fantastic plays.
